Video: Maple Leafs' Robertson Puts on a Show vs. Stars

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nick Robertson made the team out of training camp but was unable to make the opening night roster due to being waiver exempt. The team didn't want to lose Denis Malgin and decided he would make the team over Robertson, just fueling the youngsters fire even more.

Robertson was a beast in the preseason and deserved to be on the opening night roster. Thursday night against the Dallas Stars and Robertson's older brother Jason, younger brother Nick was able to finally get his shot and didn't disappoint, scoring two goals including the game-winner in overtime.

Don't expect to see the Maple Leafs send down Robertson ever again as he's going to be cemented on the team's second line with Willam Nylander and John Tavares. Against the Stars in OT, it was Auston Matthews who set up Robertson for one of the prettier game winners we've seen so far this season. Leafs Nation should be very excited to watch the young forward flourish this season and for many more ahead.
