Washington Capitals Forward Placed on Waivers

The Washington Capitals have placed Sonny Milano on waivers.

This waiver placement was expected, as it was reported that the Capitals' plan for Milano was for him to start the season in the AHL with the Hershey Bears. Now, he is officially on the wire, and it's certainly possible that we could see another team claim the 26-year-old winger from here.

Milano had a strong 2021-22 season with the Anaheim Ducks. In 66 games, he had 14 goals to go along with a career-high 34 points. Teams in need of some secondary scoring and/or are dealing with injury trouble could elect to claim the former first-rounder. Alas, let's see what happens with him from here.
