Wild Sign Prospect

The Minnesota Wild have signed prospect Michael Milne to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The Wild selected Milne with the 89th overall pick of this summer's NHL Entry Draft as a 19-year-old. He certainly raised his value as a prospect, as he just scored 38 goals and recorded 81 points in 68 games with the Winnipeg ICE of the WHL. Now, he is set to begin his tenure with the Iowa Wild, and it will be intriguing to see how well his offense translates to the AHL.

If Milne can continue to progress as well as he has been, he could become a part of Minnesota's roster in the near future. Yet, for now, he will be in the AHL working on his craft.
