Arizona Coyotes Make Decision With Top Prospect

The Arizona Coyotes have informed Dylan Guenther that he will not be sent back to junior and that he will be sticking with the NHL squad for the season.

We knew a decision was coming one way or another, as Guenther just played in his ninth game for the Coyotes. Once a prospect hits 10 games in the NHL, they burn off the first year of their entry-level contract, so we often see clubs send players down back to junior by then. Yet, Guenther is staying as a Coyote, and he absolutely earned it.

So far on the year, he has two goals and six points. That is strong production from the 19-year-old winger, and it will be intriguing to see how he builds on it from here.
