Calgary Flames Make Roster Move

The Calgary Flames have made a change to their roster, as Dennis Gilbert has been sent down to the Calgary Wranglers.

Gilbert was recently called up to the Flames' NHL roster due to the Flames' injury trouble. During his call-up, the 6-foot-2 defenseman appeared in two games, where he had zero points and a minus-1 rating. With the Wranglers this campaign, he has yet to record a point in eight contests. However, Gilbert is best described as being an old-fashioned defensive defenseman.

Although Gilbert has been sent back down to the AHL, the Flames will likely call him up again if they continue to deal with injuries on their blue line. Time will tell what happens on that front.
