Detroit Red Wings Make Roster Move

Austin Czarnik is getting his first shot with the Detroit Red Wings, as he has been called up to the NHL squad.

It's always great to be called up to the show, but this is an especially special occurrence for Czarnik, as he is joining his hometown team. Now, the 29-year-old forward will be aiming to leave a strong first impression. If he performs well, he could serve as a depth forward on their roster for the remainder of the year given his decent amount of experience.

Czarnik played 17 NHL games last season split between the Seattle Kraken and New York Islanders. During them, he had two goals and seven points. Overall, he has the potential to provide decent secondary scoring when called upon, so let's see if he can continue that with the Red Wings from here.
