Montreal Canadiens Forward Placed on Waivers

The Montreal Canadiens have announced that Rem Pitlick is set to hit the waiver wire on Monday afternoon.

The Canadiens have a surplus of forwards and have been shopping them as a result. No moves have come to fruition and as a result, Pitlick has now become the odd man out. After being a healthy scratch during November 3rd's contract against the Vegas Golden Knights, the 25-year-old is now hitting waivers.

In seven games this season, Pitlick has zero points and a minus-2 rating. Although he has had a slow start to the season, there's a good chance he will be claimed. Keep in mind, he is coming off of a 37-point campaign in 66 games split between the Minnesota Wild and Canadiens last season. With that, he was claimed twice off waivers last season, so who's to say it can't happen again? Let's see what happens with the Ottawa native from here.
