NHL Rumors: 3 Teams Actively Discussing Trades

The NHL trade market is heating up and specifically three teams are actively discussing trades including the Montreal Canadiens, Vancouver Canucks and Ottawa Senators.

The Canadiens are trying to move some of their expensive forwards. The likes of Josh Anderson, Mike Hoffman, Evgeni Dadonov, Jonathan Drouin and Christian Dvorak are all in play. The team is building around Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Juraj Slafkovsky. The Calgary Flames have recently been linked to Anderson and Drouin.

The Canucks are open for business. The team has Brock Boeser, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Tanner Pearson, Conor Garland, and Luke Schenn who are prime trade candidates. Word is Ekman-Larsson refuses to waive his no-movement clause, meanwhile Boeser's name has skyrocketed up the trade bait list as he continues to struggle offensively this season.

As for the Senators, they are searching for a defenseman. This has been ongoing for a while and not necessarily directly related to Thomas Chabot's recent injury. Look for the Sens to move out draft picks and prospects to land a blueliner with some term left on their contract. The likes of Ekman-Larsson and Arizona Coyotes d-man Jakob Chychrun remain targets on the Senators' radar.
