NHL Rumors: Anaheim Ducks Defenseman Becoming Trade Candidate

The Anaheim Ducks are having a rough 2022-23 season, as they sport a 5-10-1 record. With the team struggling and in the middle of a rebuild, they are expected to be one of the most active teams at the trade deadline. One name that we should start paying attention to because of this is Cam Fowler.

Fowler is off to a slow start, much like the Ducks as a collective unit, as he has just three assists and a minus-6 rating in 16 games on the year. However, there's a clear reason to believe that he will heat up as the season progresses, as this is a defenseman who scored nine goals and recorded 42 points in 76 games just last season. As a result, there surely would be a market for his services if the Ducks commit to shopping him.,

Fowler carries a $6.5 million cap hit and four-team trade list. If a contender comes calling and Anaheim is open to retaining some of his salary, a trade could certainly be on the way. Retaining salary would also result in a bigger return for the Ducks, so let's keep an eye on this from here.
