NHL Rumors: Anaheim Ducks to Shop Defenseman

Due to their terrible start to the season, it's clear that the rebuilding Anaheim Ducks will once again be sellers at this year's trade deadline. One pending UFA who we should expect to see shopped because of this is Dmitry Kulikov.

The Ducks acquired Kulikov this past offseason for future considerations due to the Minnesota Wild's salary cap trouble. So far, the 32-year-old has had mixed results with Anaheim, as he has five assists and a minus-5 rating in 18 games. Although it has been a year of ups and downs for him so far, he should still receive interest on the trading market due to his solid defensive play and very physical style of play.

Playoff teams in need of defensive depth will surely have Kulikov on their radar. Alas, we will need to wait and see where he ends up being moved to from here.
