NHL Rumors: Buffalo Sabres to Shop Goaltender

The Buffalo Sabres were looking like they finally going to compete for a playoff spot this season with their hot start, but things have changed noticeably since. At the time of this writing, Buffalo has a 9-12-1 record and have won just two out of their last 10 games. As a result, they are likely to be sellers, and Craig Anderson could be on the move because of it.

At 41 years old, Anderson is still an extremely effective goalie, and the truth is in his stats. In nine appearances this season, he has a 4-4-0 record, 2.76 GAA, and a .917 SV%. As a result, there will surely be interest in his services if the Sabres make him available. This is especially true if a playoff team is looking to upgrade their backup position.

We will have to wait and see what happens with Anderson from here, but if he keeps this great play up, there will be plenty of takers for his services at the deadline.
