NHL Rumors: Vancouver Canucks to Shop Forward

After an embarrassing 5-1 loss to the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night, the Vancouver Canucks have fallen to a 9-11-3 record. This is unacceptable for a team that was expected to compete for a playoff spot this season, but it seems more likely than not that they will be sellers. One player who could be on the move because of this is Andrei Kuzmenko.

Kuzmenko is a pending UFA who could certainly score the Canucks a good return given how well he is playing this season. In his first 22 NHL games, the 26-year-old winger has 11 goals, 21 points, and a plus-5 rating. Clearly, he has not had too much trouble adjusting to the North American game, and now he is set to earn himself a big payday this offseason because of it. That may lead to Vancouver moving on from him, as they also have to re-sign Bo Horvat.

Teams needing scoring help will absolutely have Kuzmenko on their radar at the deadline, so we will have to wait and see what happens with him from here.
