2 Players Placed On Waivers

The San Jose Sharks have placed Evgeny Svechnikov on waivers, while the Winnipeg Jets have done the same thing with Dominic Toninato.

Svechnikov hitting the waiver wire is certainly something that could grab the attention of other teams. The 6-foot-3 winger has had a decent year, as he has three goals and six points in 20 games. That's not bad production from a bottom-six guy, and his $750,000 cap hit would be easily affordable to take on. With that, he is of course a former first-round pick, so there could be another club out there willing to take a chance on him.

Toninato, on the other hand, has played in four games with the Jets this season, where he has an assist. The 28-year-old could be a decent addition to a team looking for a change on their fourth line. After all, the Duluth native held this role with the Jets last season and did well as a defensive specialist.
