Anaheim Ducks Send Defenseman Down to AHL

The Anaheim Ducks have sent down Colton White to the AHL on a conditioning stint.

White has played in 16 games for the Ducks this season, where he has one assist to go along with a minus-5 rating. This conditioning stint is likely to give White the chance to receive more consistent playing time. Keep in mind, he has not suffered an injury and played earlier this week.

This is a good opportunity for White to gain some confidence in his play. The 25-year-old has the potential to blossom into a full-time NHL defenseman, so perhaps this conditioning stint could help him improve in certain areas of his game. Alas, time will tell how he responds to it from here.
