Canucks Bo Horvat Releases Statement Amidst Trade Speculation

Vancouver Canucks captain Bo Horvat has heard all the noise regarding the ongoing trade speculation and contract extension reports. And frankly, enough is enough, he's no longer interested in answering questions about his future with the franchise and released a statement on Tuesday.

It's extremely rare to see a player release a statement via the team, especially if it's been so clearly reported the team had their extension offer rejected.

Horvat is the biggest fish on the trade market as the 27-year-old captain is making $5.5 million, doesn't have any trade protection and is enjoying a career season where he's put up 20 goals in 28 games.

Many of the biggest hockey insiders have reported the Canucks are now going to work on finding a trade partner before the March 3 trade deadline. At this point, look for the Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanche, New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings to be the team's most heavily involved.
