Chicago Blackhawks Make Roster Moves

The Chicago Blackhawks have placed Jarred Tinordi on injured reserve due to a facial fracture. In response to this move, they called up Isaak Phillips to the NHL.

Tinordi was claimed off of waivers by the Blackhawks at the beginning of the season, and he has been a decent surprise since. The veteran defenseman has brought upon a nice mix of physicality and defensive reliability. Furthermore, in 25 games, he has a career-high two goals to go along with five points. He also has recorded 92 hits. Overall, him being out of the lineup is not the best news for Chicago.

Phillips, on the other hand, played in his first four NHL games last season, where he had zero points and a minus-1 rating. This is a good opportunity for the 6-foot-3 defenseman to show the Blackhawks that he is ready for more NHL time, so let's see if he can take advantage of it.
