LA Kings Sign Forward to Massive Contract Extension

The Los Angeles Kings have locked up one of their forwards, as winger Trevor Moore has signed a five-year contract worth $4.2 million average annual value.

Moore has gone from a depth piece to one of the cornerstone forwards for the Kings. He's enjoying a great season, collecting seven goals and 11 assists through 32 games. The 27-year-old is coming off a career season in 2021-22 where he scored 17 goals and added 31 assists.

Moore was a pending unrestricted free agent who is currently making $1.87 million against the cap. So far this season, the shifty winger has spent most of his time on the Kings' second line alongside Viktor Arvidsson and Phillip Danault.

Moore joined the Kings back in February of 2020 from the Toronto Maple Leafs, who dealt the winger in a package for goaltender Jack Campbell. Since joining the Kings, Moore's advanced stats have been off the charts and is one of the reasons he's so coveted and appreciated by management.
