NHL Rumors: Montreal Canadiens to Shop Forward

Although Rem Pitlick has been called up to the NHL squad, it is clear that he has become the odd-man out. Due to Montreal's surplus of forwards, the 25-year-old center was placed on waivers earlier this year and has primarily been with the Laval Rocket since. As a result, it seems very likely that the
Canadiens would be open to trading the Ottawa native to give him the opportunity of a fresh start.

Pitlick was excellent for the Canadiens after being claimed off waivers last season, as he had nine goals ad 26 points in just 46 games. However, he also has struggled a lot with Montreal this year, as he has zero points in seven games. Perhaps a change of scenery could lead him to find his previous scoring touch.

Alas, don't be surprised to see the Canadiens move Pitlick before the deadline.
