San Jose Sharks Forward Done For the Season

San Jose Sharks forward Luke Kunin underwent ACL surgery. As a result of this, he will be out for the remainder of the 2022-23 season.

This is a rough way for Kunin's first season as a Shark to end, and this is especially true when noting that he was playing well. In 31 games on the year, he had five goals, 13 points, and 63 hits. The 25-year-old's immense physicality will be missed, but now his focus will be on recovering to prepare for the 2023-24 season.

With the Sharks' playoff hopes essentially gone, losing Kunin does not make an impact on that front. Yet, San Jose would certainly much rather have him in the lineup than not, so this is still a notable loss for them.
