3 Los Angeles Kings 2023 Trade Candidates

The Los Angeles Kings are expected to be one of the many buyers before the March 3 trade deadline. General manager Rob Blake won't by shy this season as he tries to upgrade his roster for a long Stanley Cup Playoff run. The Kings have a number of trade assets to dangle as they will try to upgrade their top-two lines. Here's three Kings trade candidates for the 2023 deadline:

Sean Walker

The Kings are loaded on defense and Sean Walker could become the odd man out. Through 33 games this season, the 28-year-old Walker has recorded eight points. He's currently playing on the team's second penalty-kill unit and is signed through next season at a respectable $2.65 million per season. Walker has battled some injuries throughout his career, however could flourish in a bigger role somewhere else.

Sean Durzi

If the Kings end up making a huge splash for a top-six forward, Durzi is likely the defenseman who ends up getting moved. The mobile blueliner has a ton of game and is only starting to tap into his potential. At 24 years old, signed through next season at $1.7 million and with his 21 points in 37 games so far in 2022-23, Durzi is a prime trade candidate who could really bring back an impact forward for the Kings.

Jordan Spence

The Kings are absolutely loaded on the right-side of their defense and we haven't even mentioned Brandt Clarke who is currently playing with Team Canada at the World Juniors. Jordan Spence on the other hand is a former fourth-round pick who hasn't been able to crack the NHL lineup on a regular basis, due to the numbers game in LA. Spence has put up 21 points in 23 AHL games and at 21 years old, is on a lot of team's radars before the March 3 trade deadline.
