Carolina Hurricanes Star Forward Done for Season

After leaving the final moments of Thursday’s game injured, Max Pacioretty has been dealt some truly horrible news. The Carolina Hurricanes star winger has torn his right Achilles again.

Pacioretty missed the vast majority of the season after suffering the same injury during the offseason. However, he returned to action two weeks ago, and the veteran immediately made an impact for the Hurricanes. Overall, he was effective while healthy for Carolina, as he had three goals in five games. Yet, this is where his season will end, and that is just horrible news.

Pacioretty has been dealing with serious injury trouble over the last few years, but he also has played some of the best hockey of his career when healthy during it. All hockey fans should be hoping that the star winger has a speedy recovery that comes with no more setbacks. The NHL is more entertaining when he’s around, so here’s to hoping he gets back in the game action next season.
