Columbus Blue Jackets Make Roster Moves

The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled Jet Greaves under emergency conditions. This is in response to fellow netminder Joonas Korpisalo being unavailable due to personal reasons. As a way to free up a roster spot for Greaves, the Blue Jackets have also placed Daniil Tarasov on injured reserve.

Greaves has been called up in the past by the Blue Jackets under similar circumstances, but he has yet to appear in his first NHL game. He will be hoping for that to change this time around, but that will be dependent on how long Korpisalo steps away. Furthermore, Tarasov's IR placement is retroactive to Dec. 30, so he can return at any point.

Korpisalo has had a solid bounce-back year for the Blue Jackets and looks like his former self. In 17 games, he may have a 6-7-1 record, but his .913 save percentage shows that he has been the victim of poor offensive support. As for Tarasov, he has a 2-8-1 record, 3.40 GAA, and .907 SV%.
