NHL Rumors: Hurricanes & Panthers Becoming Possible Trade Partners

Frank Seravalli recently reported that the Carolina Hurricanes are likely to pursue a second-line center at the trade deadline. Meanwhile, the Florida Panthers are reportedly considering the prospect of shopping Sam Reinhart. If this does in fact come to fruition, Reinhart would be an amazing target for the Hurricanes to help fulfill their need.

Reinhart is a very solid player, as he is capable of producing excellent offense while playing at his best, while also playing a responsible defensive game. As a result, he could certainly be a fantastic replacement for this past offseason's departure Vincent Trocheck. Yet, Reinhart produces at a better rate while playing at his best, so he would be an upgrade from the former Hurricane.

It will be intriguing to see if the Hurricanes decide to make Reinhart one of their big targets at the deadline. He would certainly give them a big jolt for their postseason run, so let’s see if these two clubs end up striking a deal from here.
