NHL Rumors: Nashville Predators & LA Kings Talking Trade

According to The Fourth Period, the Los Angeles Kings are expressing interest in Nashville Predators defenseman Mattias Ekholm.

Ekholm is one of the top defensemen being shopped at this time, so interest in his services is starting to skyrocket. Insider Frank Seravalli was the individual who broke the news that Ekholm is being shopped, and now several teams are linked to the veteran because of it. Yet, if the Kings have their way, they will be the club to land the veteran from here.

The Kings have been looking to boost their left side, so it makes a lot of sense that they are in on Ekholm. Perhaps they could look to move either Sean Walker or Matt Roy in a hypothetical swap, as they each are reportedly being shopped. Alas, let's see if these two clubs strike a deal from here.
