St. Louis Blues Defenseman Suffers Injury

The St. Louis Blues have dealt with a lot of injury trouble on defense, as Torey Krug, Marco Scandella, Nick Leddy, and Scott Perunovich are all currently sidelined. Now, another part of their group is set to miss time, as Robert Bortuzzo has suffered a lower-body injury. At the time of this writing, he is listed as day-to-day.

Although Bortuzzo is only likely to miss a few games at most, it is still not good news for the Blues. St. Louis is currently out of the playoff race and needs to pick up as many wins as possible to get back into it. Bortuzzo is a key part of their group, so his absence is not the best news in the slightest.

In 30 games this season, Bortuzzo has one goal, a plus-3 rating, and 49 hits. Overall, the veteran has done his job this campaign, so here's to hoping that he ends up having a speedy recovery from here.
