St. Louis Blues Forward Placed On Waivers

The St. Louis Blues have made a roster move, as forward Matthew Peca  has been placed on waivers.

Peca was on season-opening injured reserve all season, but he has spent the last two weeks on a conditioning loan with the Springfield Thunderbirds. Yet, now this waiver placement means that he can continue playing for the Thunderbirds and be activated off of injured reserve.

With Peca missing such a major amount of the season and being a depth forward, it seems unlikely that hr will be claimed off of waivers by another club. In five games last season with the Blues, the 29-year-old recorded an assist and had a minus-1 rating. Alas, we will need to wait and see if a team decides to take a shot on him from here or if he will be remaining with the Thunderbirds moving forward.
