3 Potential Trade Destinations for Canucks' Brock Boeser

The Vancouver Canucks are expected to trade Brock Boeser this season. The deadline is March 3, but we've seen with the Bo Horvat trade, if the right deal is there for Canucks management, they'll pull the trigger. Here's a few teams to consider for Boeser as trade talks continue through the all-star break:

New Jersey Devils

The Devils want a player with term on their deal that they can plug-and-play into their top-six. GM Tom Fitzgerald swung and missed at the NHL draft regarding a scoring winger and it's very likely we see him finalize something before March 3. Boeser makes sense and could really benefit from the change of scenery on one of the best young teams in the league.

Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins have been awfully quiet of late which normally means something is happening. The New York Islanders went out and acquired Horvat, which should put some pressure on GM Ron Hextall to add to his roster. The team has several players who are disappointing this season and given the Canucks management team knows the Pens organization to a tee, there could be a match here. The Penguins have loads of cap space moving forward to fit in Boeser and his $6.6 million salary long term.

Washington Capitals

The Capitals are looking for help in their top six before the deadline and Boeser could be an interesting fit. The Capitals have several young players who have either started to appear in NHL action or are getting very close to being called up. These are the types of players the Canucks want, young NHL ready talent who have dynamic potential. Keep an eye on the Caps, they'll be involved in the sweepstakes these next few weeks.
