Arizona Coyotes Rumors: Forward Being Linked to Contender

The Arizona Coyotes are gearing up to be sellers at the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline, and Jakob Chychrun is of course their biggest trade target. Yet, there have been some rumblings that Lawson Crouse could be available for the taking at the right price, and NHL insider Frank Seravalli listed the Carolina Hurricanes as a potential landing spot for the 2015 first-round pick.

The Hurricanes have some money to work with at the deadline, as Max Pacioretty is out for the season. As a result, Carolina could look to use some of it by bringing in another winger. Although Crouse's game is different than Pacioretty's, he would give the Hurricanes more scoring, size, and physicality. After all, he is having a very good season, as he has 19 goals, 31 points, and 126 hits in 52 games played.

Crouse's contract is also a very good one, so the Coyotes could look to take advantage of his trade value being higher. A top-six forward with size making $4.3 million until the 2026-27 season is certainly appealing, so we will need to wait and see if Carolina makes a major push for him at the deadline from here.
