Chicago Blackhawks Rumors: Latest on Potential Max Domi Trade

The Chicago Blackhawks are gearing up to be major sellers at the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline. One of their biggest trade assets is Max Domi, and several teams have expressed interest in him. However, if he has it his way, he will remain a Blackhawk for the remainder of the year. According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, "there's definitely a belief" that Domi wants to stay with Chicago.

Domi signed a one-year, prove-it contract with the Blackhawks during the offseason, and it has paid off wonderfully. In 53 games this season, the 27-year-old forward has 14 goals to go along with 36 points. As a result, his trade value is rather high, so we could see the Blackhawks take advantage of it at the deadline, as they are rebuilding. However, at the same time, they also have a veteran who has been thriving and wants to stay put, so GM Kyle Davidson should weigh both options very carefully.

It will be quite intriguing to see what happens with Domi from here. Either way, a trade or an extension is likely the next thing we will see regarding Domi.
