NHL Rumors: New Jersey Devils Targeting Canadiens Winger

The New Jersey Devils have taken a major step in the right direction this season and are one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference because of it. Therefore, for the first time in a long time, they are expected to be buyers at the deadline. Due to this, one player that they are actively pursuing at the moment is Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson.

Anderson has been on the Devils' radar before, but now it makes even more sense when noting that they are looking like true contenders right now. When observing their roster, it is apparent that they could use another top-six winger, and Anderson is just that while playing at his best. However, more importantly, the 6-foot-3 winger plays an immensely heavy game, so he could be perfect for the Devils to add before the playoffs.

Anderson is having a down year in 2022-23, however, as he has 14 goals and 19 points in 49 games. Perhaps a change of scenery could lead him to produce more again, but we will need to wait and see f the Devils' interest in him leads to them landing him from here
