NHL Rumors: Ottawa Senators Forward Available for Trade

The Ottawa Senators had a summer of spending last offseason, but they still remain in the bottom half of the NHL standings. As a result of this, they once again are expected to be major sellers at the trade deadline, and Tyler Motte is now available for the taking because of it.

Although Motte is not a star player, he will certainly get a lot of attention on the trade market. This is because he has an affordable cap hit, can play all three forward positions, and plays a solid defensive game. As a result, he is exactly the kind of depth forward that playoff teams should have on their radar.

Teams like the New York Rangers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Edmonton Oilers, Colorado Avalanche, and Boston Bruins stand out as some possible landing spots for the veteran, but we will need to wait and see where he ends up going from here.
