NHL Rumors: Philadelphia Flyers Defenseman Garnering Interest

The Philadelphia Flyers are a team to watch closely at the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline. Due to their placement in the standings, they are expected to be sellers, and players like James van Riemsdyk, Ivan Provorov, and Kevin Hayes have emerged as trade candidates because of it. However, according to Emily Kaplan of ESPN, Nick Seeler is also garnering trade interest.

Seeler has quietly been having a solid year for the Flyers and is cementing himself as a legitimate NHL defenseman because of it. In 49 games on the year, he has three goals, 10 points, 86 blocks, and 79 hits. Overall, he has been a rare bright spot for the Flyers this campaign, and now contenders are considering bringing him in at the deadline because of it.

Seeler could be a decent addition to a playoff team looking for a bottom-pairing defenseman or depth defenseman at the deadline. Although he is not a star, he has the potential to make an impact, so we will need to wait and see if he finds a new home at the deadline from here.
