Philadephia Flyers Rumors: Forward Being Linked to Jets

Philadelphia Flyers forward Kevin Hayes is having a strong 2022-23 season, and he has been getting a good amount of buzz on the trade market because of it. Yet, now a new team has entered the mix, as The Fourth Period has reported that the Winnipeg Jets are expressing interest in the Massachusetts native.

Hayes is a familiar face to the Jets, as Winnipeg acquired him at the 2019 NHL Trade Deadline as a rental. Yet, now just a handful of years later, Winnipeg is once again considering the prospect of landing Hayes. However, Hayes would be much more than a rental this time around if acquired, however, as he is under contract until after the 2025-26 campaign.

Hayes would be a strong addition to the Jets' top six, so we will need to wait and see if they end up landing at the deadline from here. In 53 games played this season, the 30-year-old has 17 goals and 47 points. With that, he was named to his first-ever All-Star Game.
