San Jose Sharks Rumors: Forward Being Targeted By Devils

The New Jersey Devils have taken a major step in the right direction this campaign, and now they are set to be buyers at the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline because of it. It is not a secret that they are hoping to improve their forward group before the playoffs, and The Fourth Period has reported that they are linked to San Jose Sharks winger Kevin Labanc because of it.

Although Labanc may not hold the same pedigree as star forwards like Timo Meier, Patrick Kane, or Ryan O'Reilly, he has the potential to be an excellent addition to a contender's middle six. After all, he has had a strong campaign this year, as he currently has 10 goals and 25 points in 47 games played. Needless to say, he provides strong secondary scoring, and the Devils could use more of that to compete with Eastern Conference powerhouses like the Toronto Maple Leafs, Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Rangers, and Boston Bruins.

We will now need to wait and see if the Devils' interest in Labanc leads to them acquiring him before the deadline passes from here. On paper, there could be an excellent match here.
