St Louis Blues Rumors: Top-Four Defenseman to Be Traded

The St Louis Blues have tried to grind it out this season as they got off to a horrible start, saw some improvements, and then have once again slid down the standings in the Western Conference. There's going to be some more changes coming after Vladimir Tarasenko was moved to the New York Rangers and according to TSN's Darren Dreger, one Blues player to watch before the trade deadline is defenseman Colton Parayko.

Dreger feels it is very possible we'll see the Blues move one of their top-four defensemen and teams have been calling about Parayko the most. He's signed through the 2029-30 season at $6.5 million annually and the towering defenseman does hold a full no-trade clause. Any move must be approved on his end.

The 6-foot-6 Parayko has recorded 18 points in 51 games this season and has shown in the past he's capable of being a force on both ends of the rink. Last season he recorded a career high 35 points in 80 games and in 82 Stanley Cup Playoff games has recorded 32 points. His experience, poise and abilities to impact both sides of the puck is what makes Parayko appealing to other teams. Some teams looking for another defenseman include the Edmonton Oilers, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, and Tampa Bay Lightning.
