3 Players Placed on Waivers - 2/3/2023

The NHL's waiver wire was busy on Thursday March 2, 2023 as three players hit the open market - J-F Berube and Evan Fitzpatrick of the Florida Panthers, along with Derrick Pouliot of the San Jose Sharks.

Pouliot is a former first-round pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins and has battled to find a consistent home throughout his career. He's 29-year-old defenseman has appeared in 26 AHL games this season, putting up 18 points. He's managed to play 213 career NHL games since being selected by the Pens, 8th overall in 2012.

Fitzpatrick is a 25-year-old goaltender who was originally a second-round pick of the St Louis Blues. He's yet to play an NHL game and has mostly been seeing action in the ECHL, where this season he's recorded a 2.68 GAA and .907 SV.% in 12 games.

Berube is the second netminder in the rare double goalie waiver transaction for the Panthers. The 31-year-old has played six AHL games this season, posting a 3.13 GAA and .888 SV.%. Berube's appeared in 40 games since being selected by the LA Kings in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
