Columbus Blue Jackets Rumors: 3 Offseason Trade Candidates

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' offseason trade candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players from each team who could be moved during the summer.

In this latest episode of the series, we will be looking at the struggling Columbus Blue Jackets. Due to their disastrous 2022-23 season, we could see some notable changes to their group.

Boone Jenner: Boone Jenner's name picked up steam at the deadline, but he ultimately ended up staying put. However, when looking at Columbus' struggles, they could entertain the prospect of moving Jenner. The 28-year-old center would land the Blue Jackets a solid return, as just about every contender would love to have him on their roster.

Jack Roslovic: Jack Roslovic may be a hometown kid, but his name has been discussed in trade talks since last season. That remained the case leading up to the deadline as well. The 26-year-old is a solid middle-six forward, so expect teams to call about him during the summer yet again. Some possible landing spots include the Detroit Red Wings, Colorado Avalanche, and Minnesota Wild.

Erik Gudbranson: Although Erik Gudbranson is not a star, he is a solid shutdown defenseman who playoff teams always are looking for. With the Blue Jackets taking a monstrous step in the wrong direction this season, they could look to move the veteran because of it. Some of his $4 million cap hit would likely need to be retained in any move, however.
