Dallas Stars Acquire Max Domi from Chicago Blackhawks

The Dallas Stars were looking for someone to play with Tyler Seguin and it appears they've found the perfect fit. The Stars have agreed to a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks for versatile forward Max Domi.

Domi is having a great season in Chicago on a struggling Blackhawks team. There was some chatter about him wanting to re-sign with the hockey club, but Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson wanted to stick with his rebuild and move Domi for a couple of assets.

The 28-year-old forward is a pending unrestricted free agent who is making $3 million against the cap. Domi's recent performance against the Stars where he put up two goals and an assist obviously left a lasting impression.

As for Khudobin, the veteran netminder is in the final season of his contract and has been buried in the AHL for months. He may get some minutes down the stretch for the Blackhawks as they look to win the Connor Bedard sweepstakes.
