Anaheim Ducks Rumors: Forward Expected to be Shopped

The Anaheim Ducks ended the 2022-23 season with a 13-game losing streak and fell to dead last in the standings because of it. As a result of this, they are expected to make changes to their group this summer, and one player who is expected to be shopped is Frank Vatrano.

Vatrano was in the rumor mill leading up to the deadline, but the Massachusetts native ended up staying put. However, as we get closer to important offseason events like the draft and free agency, that certainly could change. The 29-year-old improved his trade value with his solid season, as he had 21 goals to go along with 41 points in 81 games. With numbers like these, he is a quality middle-six forward and also works very well on the power play.

Vatrano carries an affordable $3.65 million cap hit until the end of the 2024-25 season, so that naturally should lead to several teams calling the Ducks about him this summer. Teams looking for depth scoring have a solid option in Vatrano, so we will need to wait and see if he ends up being moved from here.
