Arizona Coyotes Rumors: 2 Teams Linked to Karel Vejmelka

The Arizona Coyotes are fully rebuilding, and Karel Vejmelka is one of the many trade candidates on their roster heading into the offseason. When noting that Vejmelka has had success on a bad Coyotes team, it is not surprising to hear that he is garnering interest from the Buffalo Sabres and Ottawa Senators.

The Buffalo Sabres have a quality prospect in Devon Levi, and he appears to be ready for full-time NHL work. However, it also would make sense for the Sabres to bring in a solid NHL goalie to play alongside. Thus, it is understandable that the Sabres are looking at Vejmelka as a potential starter. He would also be an upgrade over Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.

The Ottawa Senators are also looking at Vejmelka as a potential option after making it known that Cam Talbot will not be back. If they acquired Vejmelka, he would form a strong 1A-1B tandem with Anton Forsberg as the Senators aim to be a playoff team again.

We will need to wait and see if either of these clubs end up successfully acquiring Vejmelka this offseason from here.
