Buffalo Sabres Rumors: Forward Becoming Trade Candidate

The Buffalo Sabres are on the rise and should be in for a busy summer because of it. However, due to their improved forward depth, there have been rumblings that the Sabres will listen to offers for Victor Olofsson this offseason.

Olofsson ended the year in the Sabres' bottom six, and that is not the best placement for an offense-first player like him. With that, the 27-year-old is also entering the final year of his contract before being eligible to become an unrestricted free agent. This also could heighten the Sabres' desire to move him to help improve their roster elsewhere.

Olofsson could net the Sabres a decent return in a trade, as he had 28 goals and 12 assists in 75 games played this season. Teams looking to improve their scoring will likely call the Sabres about Oloffson, as he has the potential to provide a good amount of it.

Nevertheless, we will need to wait and see what happens with Olofsson from here.
