Buffalo Sabres Veteran Officially Retires

The Buffalo Sabres 2022/23 season showed signs of potential, and ultimately they fell short of breaking their record post-season drought, but on the final day of the season for them, they sent off an NHL veteran in a big way.

With their 4-3 Overtime win over the Ottawa Senators, the team farewelled goaltender Craig Anderson, who retires at age 41 after racking up an impressive 319 wins for Chicago, Florida, Ottawa and Buffalo among others.

In an era of goaltenders highlighted by the likes of Henrik Lundqvist, Carey Price and Marc-Andre Fleury, Anderson carved out a fantastic career for himself, and will be remembered as a very solid goaltender for a lot of NHL franchises.
