Calgary Flames Part Ways With Long-Time General Manager

The Calgary Flames fall off, highlighted by a struggling campaign from superstar Jonathan Huberdeau has been one of the biggest stories in the NHL this past season, and after officially missing the playoffs, the repercussions have begun.

On Monday, it was officially announced that the Flames and General Manager Brad Treliving have mutually agreed to part ways, as it was revealed that he turned down an extension for the position just last week.

Treliving became the GM of the Flames back in 2014, and has done a solid job, drafting stars like Matthew Tkachuk, Adam Fox, Rasmus Andersson and future stars such as Jacob Pelletier, Dustin Wolf and Matt Coronato, but ultimately, it appears that his time in Calgary was naturally coming to an end, as the team searches for answers.
