More Discouraging Medical News For Winnipeg Jets Ahead Of Game 4

Although he skated with the team over the weekend, it was going to be up to the Winnipeg Jets' medical staff today as to whether key forward Nikolaj Ehlers would be able to return for Game 4 of their series with the Vegas Golden Knights Monday night.

Now the word has come down, and it's not what Ehlers or the Jets were hoping.

Ehlers will continue to be on the growing Jets' injury report and unavailable for Game 4. He was held off the ice Monday morning.

He joins Josh Morrisey (out for the rest of the series) and Cole Perfetti on the sidelines once again.

Ehlers, 27, has now been out since April 11th with an upper-body injury. The timing was unfortunate, as he'd registered seven points in the five games before the injury. He also missed large chunks of the regular season with a variety of other ailments, including surgery for a sports hernia. In 45 games, he registered 38 points in just 15:39 TOI per contest.

In addition to the aforementioned three key players missing, the Jets have also had to call up Arvid Holm as an emergency goaltending backup for Game 4, as regular backup David Rittich is also out with a lower-body injury.
