NHL Rumors: 3 Teams Expected to Target Jonathan Quick This Offseason

The Los Angeles Kings shocked the hockey world when they traded franchise legend Jonathan Quick to the Columbus Blue Jackets. He was quickly moved to the Vegas Golden Knights from there, and he has been a good fit for them since. As a result of this, there should be a free-agent market out there for the 37-year-old even though he struggled with LA this season. He has made it known that he wants to continue his career beyond this season, let's go over three teams who are expected to target him.

Vegas Golden Knights: Since Quick has been fitting in well with the Golden Knights, it seems possible that the Golden Knights could bring him back on a cheap one-year deal. When noting all of the injury trouble that Vegas has had this season in the net, it would not be bad to continue to have Quick as an insurance option.

Seattle Kraken: It seems possible that Quick go from the 31st NHL team to the 32nd this summer. The Seattle Kraken have had some trouble in goal this season, and Martin Jones is a pending unrestricted free agent. Thus, if they let Jones walk, Quick could be a decent backup option for them for the 2023-24 season.

Tampa Bay Lightning: The Tampa Bay Lightning could be on the hunt for a backup goalie this offseason due to Brian Elliott being a pending UFA. Quick stands out as a solid option for them in this scenario, and it is likely that he would be open to playing there, as the Lightning are legitimate contenders.
