NHL Rumors: Calgary Flames & Montreal Canadiens Could Make Big Trade

The Calgary Flames missed the playoffs this year, and big changes could be on the way because of it. It is clear that they need help with their scoring woes, and one player who they are expected to pursue this offseason because of it is Montreal Canadiens winger Josh Anderson.

The Canadiens listened to offers for Anderson during the regular season, but they also made it clear that it would take a major offer for them to pull the trigger on any move. With the Flames needing to improve their forward group and head coach Darryl Sutter loving tough players, Anderson could be a perfect match for Calgary.

Anderson is expected to receive plenty of interest around the league once the offseason is here, as he is a second-line power forward who can put the puck in the net. In 69 games this season with the Canadiens, he had 21 goals to go along with 32 points.

We will need to wait and see if the Flames can land Anderson from here.
