NHL Rumors: Former NHL Player Looking To Return To North America To Continue Career

It seems that Dmytro Timashov is looking to return to North America to play in the NHL after spending the past year and a half playing with Brynas in Sweden.

Timashov had a solid season with Brynas, leading the team in scoring despite their relegation to the second-tier Allsvenskan.

Although Timashov has just 45 career NHL appearances under his belt, it appears that there has been some interest in him from North American teams. It's unclear whether the interest has been for a one-way or two-way offer, but given his lack of NHL experience and recent AHL performance, it's possible that any offers he has received so far have been of the latter variety.

Nevertheless, Timashov's termination from his last NHL deal means that he's free to sign with any team that offers him a contract.

Timashov has played 45 games in the NHL, scoring 2 goals and 7 assists for a total of 9 points, while accumulating 26 penalty minutes.

In the AHL, he has played 157 games, scoring 37 goals and 70 assists for a total of 107 points, while accumulating 88 penalty minutes.

If he does return to North America, he'll likely be hoping to earn himself a recall or two next season and prove himself as a valuable addition to any team he joins. Photo Credit: Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports
