Ottawa Senators Star Records 1000 Career Points
The Ottawa Senators came into the 2022/23 season full of expectations after a big off-season, but underperformed drastically, leaving this team in a strange spot as they look to make a post-season push in the 2023/24 campaign.
On Monday, they at least had something positive to cheer about however, as NHL veteran Claude Giroux, who joined his hometown team this past off-season hit the 1,000 point mark in his career, a true mark of how consistent he has been over his time in the league.
In 16 seasons and 1099 games, Giroux has accumulated 328 goals and 673 assists for 1,001 points, so while Ottawa struggled as a team this year, they at least end the season with a solid accomplishment from a key leader on this squad.1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ @NHL points!!
