Veteran Colorado Avalanche Forward Out Indefinitely

The Colorado Avalanche cruised through the Western Conference en route to their third Stanley Cup Championship in franchise history a season ago, but this time around, it's not quite as easy, as the team have a massive Game 7 upcoming on Sunday night against the surprising Seattle Kraken.

Unfortunately, they'll go into that game without a key piece, as veteran forward Andrew Cogliano is officially out indefinitely after a brutal hit from behind in Game 6 has caused him a fractured neck, which doesn't look good for his chances to play in the playoffs.

The Avalanche have been dealing with injury issues all season long at this point, so they are prepared for it, but given how crucial Cogliano has been to this lineup, it's another tough one to take, and hopefully he can be back on the ice at 100% at some point.
