Golden Knights Reveal Goaltending Plans For Conference Finals

The Vegas Golden Knights had started Laurent Brossoit in goal for the first eight games of the playoffs, but he hasn't returned since an injury in Game 3 of their second-round series against the Edmonton Oilers.

Now, heading into the Conference Finals, his possible return to active duty is still a mystery.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy said that Brossoit hasn’t even started skating. He wouldn’t reveal if backup Logan Thompson has been on the ice, but he did say there’s a chance that he could become an option at some point. For now, Jonathan Quick will back up Adin Hill.

Brossoit appeared to injure himself after making a save on the Oilers' Connor McDavid in Game 3 eight days ago.

After the save, the goalie pushed to his right to get ready for a rebound, but went down in pain.

Adin Hill replaced him in goal at that point, and hasn't missed a beat. In fact, his playoff numbers have been spectacular, as he now sports a 2.19 GAA with a .934 SV%.

Safe to say that Vegas will be quite happy to roll the dice with Hill going forward.
